Python Lead Developer
ProductQA Engineer - HRMS Product (AI-Enabled SaaS Platform)
QAPython Lead Developer
We are looking for an experienced Python Technical Lead / Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and REST API development. Candidates with experience working in product-based companies and hands-on experience developing healthcare-domain products are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications, with a strong understanding of product engineering, backend architecture, database optimization, and API security. Candidates should be capable of developing production-ready code, taking ownership of technical deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build reliable healthcare technology solutions.
- Key Responsibilities
- - Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- - Build secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
- - Develop and maintain healthcare product features and backend services.
- - Design reusable, modular, and maintainable application architecture.
- - Optimize database performance using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- - Implement authentication, authorization, data validation, and secure API practices.
- - Develop asynchronous tasks and background processing using Celery, Redis, or equivalent tools.
- - Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- - Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- - Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
- - Support cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and application performance improvements.
- - For Technical Lead candidates, provide technical guidance, mentor developers, and contribute to architecture and engineering decisions.
- Mandatory Skills
- - Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- - Expertise in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- - Strong experience in REST API development and integration.
- - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and backend architecture.
- - Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
- - Knowledge of database design, SQL, and query optimization.

About the Role Join the HelixBeat HRMS product engineering team to own end-to-end quality across enterprise web and mobile applications. The role works closely with Business Analysts, Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to validate functional, integration, data, usability and release quality for a scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform. Key Responsibilities Product & Functional Testing • Understand business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows and product configurations. • Design and execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory and end-to-end test scenarios. • Validate enterprise HRMS workflows such as Employee Master, Onboarding/Offboarding, Attendance, Leave, Payroll, Recruitment/ATS, ESS/MSS, Performance and Reporting. • Test role-based access, approvals, notifications, forms, workflows and tenant-specific configurations. • Validate positive, negative, boundary, exception and real-world business scenarios.
- Web, Mobile & Cross-Platform Quality
- • Test responsive web applications across supported browsers and screen sizes.
- • Validate mobile application behaviour across supported Android/iOS devices where applicable.
- • Verify usability, accessibility basics, UI consistency and cross-browser compatibility.
- • Identify performance, reliability and user-experience risks during feature validation.
- Mandatory Skills
- • 5+ years of software quality assurance / testing experience.
- • Strong experience in functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications.
- • Strong test design techniques, requirement analysis and defect management skills.
- • Hands-on REST API testing experience using Postman or equivalent.
- • Working SQL knowledge for backend/data validation.
- • Web application and responsive UI testing experience.
- • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and release testing.
- • Hands-on Jira or equivalent test/defect tracking experience.
- • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Preferred Skills
- • HRMS / HCM / Workforce Management / Payroll / Recruitment product experience.
- • B2B SaaS or multi-tenant cloud product experience.
- • Mobile application testing experience.
- • UI automation experience with Playwright, Selenium or equivalent.
- • API automation experience using Python/pytest, REST-assured or equivalent.
- • Performance testing exposure using JMeter, k6 or equivalent.
- • Accessibility and cross-browser/device testing exposure.
- • Experience testing AI-enabled workflows, conversational assistants, recommendations or analytics
